Like 99% percent of people, music is amongst my passions, but my talents never extended beyond self-taught guitar. Fortunately some of my best friends are musicians and so is Matthias, who I teamed up with to realize this User Exerience Experiment, when we were studying together in Graz.
The idea is to focus on a single instrument within an arrangement and experience which part this instrument assumes in the ensemble. Four musicians were separated in four rooms, connected with headphones, playing the same song. The final mix was played in a fifth room. This is what it looked like:
